Overview
The MH370 Outreach Tool is a purpose-built correspondence tool that helps individuals send email to aviation authorities and officials. This policy explains how the tool handles your information.
Information You Enter
When composing and sending email, you may enter your name, email address, and the content of your correspondence. Your name and email address are used solely as the reply-to field on outgoing mail. Email content and your personal details are not stored on our servers.
Activity Logs
We log site activity — including page visits, email send events, and button interactions — for operational monitoring. Each log entry may include your IP address, approximate location (country and city derived from IP), browser user-agent, timestamp, and where applicable the email subject line and recipient count. Logs are stored in Redis and capped at 1000 entries.
Cookies
An admin_session cookie is set if you access the admin area. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Third Parties
Outgoing email is delivered via Resend, a third-party email delivery service. Your name and email address are included as the reply-to field on each message sent. Resend's own privacy policy governs how they handle delivery data. No other third-party services receive your personal information.
