Privacy Policy

Overview
The MH370 Outreach Tool is a purpose-built correspondence tool that helps individuals send email to aviation authorities and officials. This policy explains how the tool handles your information.
Information You Enter
When composing and sending email, you may enter your name, email address, SMTP credentials (App Password), and the content of your correspondence. None of this information is stored on our servers. SMTP credentials are passed directly to the mail server in transit and are never written to a database or log.
Google Sign-In (Optional)
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google (basic profile only). This is stored temporarily in Redis with a 30-day expiry solely to pre-populate the compose form on return visits. We do not access your Gmail inbox or send email on your behalf via Google.
Activity Logs
We log anonymised activity — page visits and email send events — including your IP address, browser user-agent, email subject line, and recipient count. These logs are used solely for operational monitoring and are stored in Redis with a limited retention window.
Cookies
A session cookie (google_user) is set if you sign in with Google. An admin_session cookie is set if you access the admin area. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Third Parties
We do not share your information with third parties, run analytics services, or use advertising networks. Email is delivered directly through the SMTP server you configure.
